How to Make Big Bird Cupcakes

Why Big Bird Cupcakes? I have been a fan of Big Bird since the days when everyone thought Mr. Snuffleupagus was his imaginary friend!

How to Make Big Bird Cupcakes

Do you have a big bird lover in your life? What better way to celebrate big bird than by making big bird cupcakes! Even if you don’t have a little person in your life, this whimsical treat is fun to make. I love watching the faces of the adults as they register who the character is. Totally priceless!

What kind of bird is Big Bird?

No one really knows, even if Oscar the Grouch has been calling him a “big turkey” forever.

Big Bird’s species has always been a topic of discussion. Although he is most commonly called a “condor,” Big Bird himself admitted that it was not the case on one episode of Hollywood Squares when asked by host Peter Marshall what kind of bird he was and replied with “lark.” However, in Don’t Eat the Pictures Osiris calls him an ibis, which would make sense because Native American folk tales say they are wise creatures who live for over 300 years.

In 2011 there were two episodes where Bigbird appeared as something other than his usual self: once calling himself a golden condor during Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood-and then later back to being just plain ol’ condor!

So, what is the History of Big Bird?

Big Bird debuted in 1969 on the PBS children’s educational series, Sesame Street. Since then big bird has been a beloved and iconic character for all generations!

What does Big Bird teach kids?

Big Bird teaches kids big and little things! How to be patient, share, measure up… But his most famous quote is “I love you!”

How tall is Big Bird?

Big Bird is big and tall, but not as big or tall as his best friend Snuffy. But he weighs a lot more! Even though he is really tall, he isn’t scary at all. In fact, big bird’s favorite thing to do is hug!

What does Big Bird like to eat?

Big Bird likes many foods but his favorite food is a pickle. He eats so many that sometimes he feels all squishy and has gas. But Big Bird loves cheese too and will share it with other people if the need arises.

What big bird songs are there?

Big Bird has a lot of favorite songs! But his most famous song is “I’m gonna teach you to fly.” His other favorite song is about how he’s big and tall. If you listen closely, Big Bird sings the alphabet too in this one.

In a large bowl whisk flour, baking powder, and salt together. Set aside.

Place butter and milk in a microwave-safe dish and zap 2 minutes on high to melt the butter.

In a separate bowl, beat eggs for 30 seconds on medium-high speed.

With the beater still going, pour the sugar in over 30 seconds.

Beat eggs for 6 minutes more on a highly faster speed, or until tripled in volume and almost pure white.

When the egg is whipped, scatter 1/3 flour across the surface, then beat on low for 5 seconds. Stop beating, add half the remaining flour, then mix again on low for 5 seconds. Add remaining flour, then mix on Speed 1 for 5 – 10 sec until the flour is just mixed in. Once you can’t see flour, stop straight away.

Pour the hot milk/butter, vanilla, and oil into the now empty flour bowl. Add about 3/4 cups of the Egg Batter into the hot milk. Use a whisk to mix until smooth. It should look kind of foamy.

With the beater on low still, pour the milk mixture into the Egg Batter over 10-15 seconds, then turn the beater off.

Fill your muffin tins with batter until they are 2/3 full. Bake 20-22 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.

Here is the thing – with the more futzy designs, I like to make them in advance of an event or get-together. The best way to usually store your finished creations? Room Temperature.

Granted, they aren’t going to be around that long – my family of three could easily take them out in two to three days. Since you are using canned frosting instead of buttercream frosting or fondant, they should be fine for five to six days. You can learn more about that in our article How To Frost A Cupcake.

You can also make the cupcake bases in advance, the wings and antennae in advance, and even the yellow tinted frosting ahead of time. It takes very little time to assemble them all.

Bee Cupcakes are a fun and easy way to make bee-themed desserts for your next party. They are perfect for kids! In this blog post, you will learn how to make bee cupcakes from top to bottom including the bee body, bee wings, bee antennae, and more!

How to Make Bee Cupcakes

These are fantastic cupcakes for your favorite gardener or even for that baby shower that struggles for a theme. Bees are something that everyone should know more about and be willing to try and help – they really are our friends!

Why are bees so important to us?

Bees are the beekeepers of the world; they pollinate plants and crops so that we can continue to grow food. There are no “Humans” without “Bees!”

What exactly do bees do?

Bees fly from flower to flower collecting nectar and pollen. When they visit plants, they transfer the bee’s own pollen onto other flowers so that when a bee visits another plant of the same species, it can fertilize their blossom! This ensures healthy growth for these plants.

Why are bees dying?

Pollinators like bees are dying because of gardener’s use of pesticides and fertilizers. Bees work so hard to pollinate our plants, but when peoples apply these chemicals that harm the bees, it can cause bee colonies to dwindle or even die out completely!

A great video on how to help bees

What is happening?

Bee populations have been declining at alarming rates in recent years with beekeepers reporting bee colony losses of more than one-third. Scientists are still examining the causes and impacts, but it is thought that a mix of pesticides, fungicides, herbicides, and lack of plant diversity may be contributing to this problem.

Do honey bees hurt us?

Honey bees are not aggressive and they do not sting people. They only attack humans if their bee colony is threatened, such as when someone takes away their honey or kills the bee’s nest.

How can we help?

The best way to save these important pollinators is by planting a bee-friendly garden with lots of different flowers. You can also buy bee-friendly plants from nurseries.

First, you have to take 4 oz of melting chocolate and actually melt it. You can do this by placing it in the microwave for 14 seconds on high, stirring, then microwaving again. Stir until smooth and liquidy. If it starts to look grainy it means you overcooked it. Try adding a little Crisco or vegetable oil to smooth it back out.

Add that melted chocolate to your piping bag.

Take your bee template and put it under a piece of waxed paper or even parchment paper – so you can see the design thru it. Pipe ]chocolate wings on a piece of wax paper.

Also, pipe sets of the antenna onto wax paper. Let both things cool until set

How to Make the Cutest Cat Cupcakes

History of cats

Cats are not native to the Americas, but cat domestication likely began in ancient Egypt. Cats were attracted by grain stores and killed mouse pests which threatened their food supply. The Egyptians revered them for this service they provided as well as other roles like pest control on ships and rodent removal from granaries.

The Ancient Greeks also maintained cat populations in order to control rodent populations. The cat was holy and a symbol of femininity for the Egyptians, while they were considered evil by the Greeks who would often kill cats on sight.

In medieval Europe, felines were more despised than loved due to their connection with witches; these animals were thought to turn into spirits at night which caused mischief.

Cats were brought to the Americas by European settlers who didn’t want cats eradicating native species, but cat populations in North America have exploded on their own due to humans’ lack of interest and affection for these animals.

The cat population is now estimated at an astonishing 100 million felines in the United States alone! In contrast, cat populations in Europe and Asia are much lower.

Cats have been deemed the most popular pet for Americans, with 65% of homes owning a cat according to an April 2017 survey by Gallup pollsters.

All about cat lovers

Cat lovers can be cat people, cat ladies, or cat guys.

– Cat People – This term is used to describe someone who adores cats and will do anything for them.

– Cat Ladies/Guys – A cat lady or guy loves felines so much they may have more than one cat at a time! It’s not uncommon for cat ladies to have many more cats than most people would consider healthy.

– Cat Mom – A cat mom loves her cat so much it’s as if she is the mother of a child! They will do anything for their furry little ones, even though they know that sometimes this behavior can be seen by others as excessive and obsessive.

Cats are many cat lovers’ best friends and that is why we have this fun treat today. After all, what cat-lover can resist cat cupcakes?
