Have you ever seen grill cupcakes and wondered how they are made? Wonder no more! If you want to impress your guests with a truly unique and delicious dessert, then these grill cupcakes are a good bet!

– 1 box chocolate cake mix – Eggs, Vegetable Oil, and water that the boxed cake mix asks for on the package – Red, orange, and yellow buttercream frosting – Chocolate for the grill, melted & in a piping bag with a small cut tip – Red Tic Tac candy for the hotdogs – Brown M&M’s for the burgers

Melt the chocolate and place in a piping bag with a small cut tip.  Trace circles just smaller than the top of your cupcake onto a piece of paper.

Place a piece of wax paper of the tracing and pipe the chocolate onto the wax paper following the circle pattern.  Next, add lines of chocolate as shown to form the grill.  Set then in the refrigerator.

How To Make The Grill Cupcakes:  Preheat the oven to 350°F and place the shelf in the middle of the oven. Line the muffin tin with cupcake liners.  Take your cake mix and add the ingredients it asks for. Fill your muffin tips cups 2/3 full of batter and bake per the box instructions.  Let them cool completely.

Frosting Your Cupcakes:  On a sheet of plastic wrap place rows of red, orange, and yellow frosting as shown.  Roll the plastic wrap carefully leaving one end open and twisting the other end. Place the piping bag into a large glass and fold the sides of the bag over the rim of the glass. Drop the frosting roll into a piping bag with tip, open-end down.

Bring the pastry bag edges up and twist them together to start decorating. Add a 1 mm star tip to your bag. If you don’t have a piping bag, try a plastic bag with the tip snipped off. Frost the cooled and filled cupcakes.

Decorating Your Grill Cupcakes:  Pipe a flat swirl of frosting onto the cupcake.  Carefully remove the grill from the wax paper and place it on top of the frosting.

Add m&m burgers and tic tac hot dogs onto the grill.
