We see beavers when we are camping

There is nothing like being out on a hike and seeing beavers swimming in the river or building their dams. They are such amazing creatures! When I saw this beaver cupcake recipe, I knew I had to try it.

What are some interesting facts about Beavers?

I had no idea but Beavers are the largest rodents in North America! We know they use their impressive teeth to chop down trees, but beavers are also great at building dams which is why they play such an important role in the ecosystem. They can even hold their breath underwater for up to 15 minutes!

They are known for their ability to build dams and lodges using those logs, branches, mud, and stones. Beavers have webbed feet and a flat tail that helps them swim. They are nocturnal animals, meaning they are most active at night.

Wouldn’t it be nice if all construction happened at night? Especially road work!

Beaver cupcakes are not only easy to make but they are also a lot of fun!

How do you store Beaver Cupcakes?

Here is the thing – with the more futzy designs, I like to make them in advance of an event or get-together. The best way to usually store your finished creations? Room Temperature.

Granted, they aren’t going to be around that long – my family of three could easily take them out in two to three days. Since you are using buttercream frosting and a cookie? These should be fine for two to three days. The longer you wait to eat them, the higher the chances that your cookie will get soggy and you will have a floppy tail.
