– 1 box of triple chocolate mix – 3 eggs – 1/2 C (1 stick) of softened unsalted sweet cream butter – 1 1/4 C whole milk – cupcake liners – cupcake pan

CUPCAKE INGREDIENTS:

Cupcake Tutorial:  Preheat the oven to 350°F and place the shelf in the middle of the oven. Line the muffin tin with cupcake liners. Using a standing mixer, combine the cake mix, butter, eggs, and milk and mix until combined. Using a medium ice cream scoop, scoop the batter into the cupcake liners and fill about 3/4 of the way full. Bake in the oven for about 21 minutes then pull out and place on the side to cool Let them cool completely.

Frosting Ingredients:  – 1 C unsalted sweet cream butter, softened – 2 1/2 C powder sugar – 1/2 C Hershey cocoa powder – 1 tsp vanilla extract – 5 tbsp heavy whipping cream – 1 piping bag fitted with a star tip

Making The Frosting:  Using a standing mixer, combine the butter, powder sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and heavy whipping cream and mix until combined and until stiff and creamy. Pro tip: If the frosting, is still tough and powdery, add in 1-2 TBSP heavy whipped cream to make it smoother.

Frosting The Cupcake:  Place the piping bag into a large glass and fold the sides of the bag over the rim of the glass. Scoop the vanilla frosting into the piping bag. Bring the pastry bag edges up and twist them together to start decorating. Add a 1 mm star tip to your bag. If you don’t have a piping bag, try a plastic bag with the tip snipped off. Frost the cooled and filled cupcakes.

Decorative Ingredients:  – 1 box of whoppers chocolate candy – 1 bag of chocolate melting wafers – 1 bag of caramel squares candy, unwrapped – 1 package of small edible eyes – mini circle cookie cutter

Take your cooled cupcakes and pipe all around the cupcake, making it look like a fuzzy bear texture. I find it is easier to move the star tip around the cupcake and push out frosting as I pull up on the pastry bag.

Take two chocolate melting wafers and place them on the top corner for the ears. Take one caramel square and use your fingers to kind of play with it to get it soft. Place it onto a cutting board or plate and flatten it out using either the bottom of a glass cup or a rolling pin. Take the mini circle cookie cutter and cut out the mouth part of the bear.

Place the caramel circle onto the center of the frosting.  Place two eyes above the caramel circle. Using leftover frosting add a tiny amount onto the back of the whopper candy.

Place whopper onto the top center of the caramel circle.
