Looking for a fun and easy way to celebrate Star Wars Day? Why not try making baby Yoda cupcakes!

– 1 box chocolate cake mix – The additional ingredients according to the box mix instructions – Green frosting in a piping bag (I mixed white frosting with green and just a touch of brown to get my Yoda color) – Light & dark brown fondant – White chocolate chips – Green oil-based food coloring – Brown oil-based food coloring – Small sugar pearls

Take your cake mix and add the ingredients it asks for. Fill your muffin tips cups 2/3 full of batter and bake per the box instructions. Let them cool completely.

For the robe, roll out light brown fondant and cut into strips using a fondant roller and set it aside.

Roll out the dark brown fondant and stamp out small circles for the eyes, set them aside. Melt the white chocolate chips with green food coloring and a small dot of brown oil color to match frosting, place it in the piping bag.

Set our baby Yoda ear template under a sheet of waxed paper. Pipe over template on wax paper to create ears, set aside, or in the refrigerator to set.

Frost the cooled and filled cupcakes.

Pipe green frosting on the cupcake.  Place light brown fondant robe strip around the base of the cupcake as shown.

Attach dark fondant eyes, then add accent sugar pearl with a small dab of frosting      Carefully remove the ears from wax paper and attach them to either side of the head.
